Singapore is a sovereign island city-state in Southeast Asia, founded in 1819. After the time as a British colony, Singapore merged with Malaysia in 1963. Two years later, Singapore became an independent republic. Since then, the infrastructure in Singapore has always been developed and modernized. The economy grew steadily and more and more banks, companies and educational institutions settled.
Today, around 5.7 million people from different ethnic backgrounds live in Singapore, since the middle of the 19th century workers, especially from Asian countries, have been attracted by the very good and stable economic situation. Singapore is thus one of the most densely populated states in the world.
In addition to the excellent economic situation, Singapore also has much to offer culturally. Numerous parks and gardens, such as the Gardens by the Bay, characterize the cityscape and attract millions of tourists every year. The multitude of museums and different districts also offers the opportunity to get to know Singapore with its different facets.
Singapore offers the excursionists the opportunity to discover and experience the three pillars “enterprises”, “universities” and “culture” in a very modern and sophisticated environment.
